Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 31, 2026. Last updated: August 31, 2026.
This policy applies to GTMSkills.sh, a project built and maintained by SMARTe Inc. ('SMARTe,' 'we,' 'us'). It explains what information we collect through the site, how we use it, and your choices.
Browsing the Site
You don't need an account to browse, preview, or install skills. GTMSkills.sh does not require personal information for these actions.
Information We Collect
- Server logs. Our hosting provider automatically logs standard technical data, including IP address, browser type, and pages visited. This is used for security and to operate the site, not to identify individual visitors.
- Skill downloads. We track an aggregate download count per skill, shown as a running total. This count is not linked to any individual or session.
- Skill submissions. The Submit a Skill form collects:
- Your Name and Your Email: used only to follow up on your submission. Never displayed publicly.
- Credited As: the name displayed publicly on the skill's page if your submission is approved, for example "SMARTe GTM Team."
- Skill details: title, role, category, description, problem solved, use cases, and compatible tools.
- The skill file itself: either a link to a hosted file or content you upload or paste directly.
- License agreement: your confirmation that the skill is shared for free commercial use, recorded at submission.
- Cookies. We use cookies for site functionality and, where you consent, for analytics. We ask for your consent before setting any cookie that isn't strictly necessary for the site to function.
How We Use This Information
- To review, publish, and credit submitted skills.
- To contact you about your submission if needed.
- To show download counts and surface popular skills.
- To secure the site and diagnose issues.
We don't sell your information or share it with advertisers.
Where Your Information Is Processed
SMARTe operates from the United States and India. Information you submit may be accessed by SMARTe personnel in either location for review, support, and site operation.
Third-Party Services
Installing a skill through npx skills add smarte-skills/gtm-skills or GitHub involves npm and GitHub directly. Their handling of your data is governed by their own privacy policies, not this one.
Data Retention
We keep the name and email from your skill submission for as long as needed to review and follow up on it. If you want this deleted sooner, contact us at privacy@smarteprivacy.com and we will remove it within 30 days. This applies to your personal information only, your name, email, and (if you request it) your credited name. It doesn't apply to the skill itself. Skills are published under the MIT License referenced in our Terms of Service. Once published, that license extends to anyone who has already installed, forked, or copied the file. We can remove a skill from GTMSkills.sh and our GitHub repository going forward, but we can't revoke copies already distributed under the license.
Your Rights and Choices
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information you submitted (your name, email, or credited name) by contacting us below. To protect your information, we may ask you to verify your identity, for example by confirming the email address used in your submission. We respond within 30 days.
If you're in the EU, UK, or California, you have additional rights under GDPR or CCPA. The same contact below covers those requests.
Children's Privacy
GTMSkills.sh is built for GTM professionals and isn't directed at children. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes to This Policy
If we change what we collect or how we use it, we'll update this page and the date above.
